They said it was the Internal Revenue Service and there was an investigation with my name. When I called and said I couldn't understand them, they said, "Wait for the Sheriff!"

I received three call today by 11:25. Like above, part of the message is cut off but it states something about going to court. i have blocked the number and am hoping it works. TOTAL SCAM!!

got a call with the same message as listed above. Do not reveal any information!!! #SCAMSCAMSCAM

Called and said there is a lawsuit filed in my name

I received three calls today. Part of the message is cut of and all you can hear is something about courthouse and call.

Called twice today. Stated that he was a policeman with the IRS.

Got the lawsuit call. No notification of a legal action would be on your cell phone. I recommend NOT calling back...to risky. Had the IRS Scam earlier. Again the IRS would send a letter. I admit it gives on a thrill to hear about legal action. Just take no action on these!

robo call this morning saying there was a serious matter with the IRS and before it was filed with the local goverment and sent to court I should call them back. Anyone know how to report this?

recorded message saying a lawsuit has been filed against me and that I should call them back to stop further action, something of that sort.

They called my friend and said she owes IRS and they wanted her to go to CVS and pay with iTunes gift cards. They told her to go to a certain CVS store to purchase them. They told her not to tell anyone else or they would take away her house and she had to do it while they were on the phone with her. Thank God I was there because with God's help we stopped her from completing the transaction. They wanted to know every moment what she was doing. They made her even get permission to put the phone down go to the bathroom. They told her not to tell anyone, not to mute the phone or put them on hold. Lond story short we went to the police station and while she spoke with them on the phone I went in and told the dispatcher what was happening. He confirmed that this is FRAUD. An IRS attorney just happened to be in the parking lot and overheard us and he got on the phone demanding the caller to identify himself. The caller promptly hung up. Don't fall for this scam. The caller gave an american name but sounded had an indian sounding accent. I hope this post helps somebody save their hard earned money.
