I was thinking to book through a booking agent but was not getting what I wanted. Comparing the charges to what I saw online was showing differences of up to $200.00. I wanted to match travel back with others. Finally I told the agent I couldn't deal with this just now. I wanted to get the return flight numbers from others and see if I could book myself.
The agent reduced the price three times. Tried to push me through. I just couldn't bite because something felt off. I hung up. He tried to call back five times, I didn't answer. Then later, after successfully booking all through and getting the actual flights I wanted, I used PayPal to pay. Luv them... I just got an email stating that I need to call 1-646-738-7810 for an additional $16.06 No declaration of what the fee is for. As you can imagine, I do not want to pay this if it is related to a service fee of any kind. In my case it would be a disservice fee... I did everything on my own. All I did was talk to the guy, then decline his service. Are they trying to scab me after the fact now?
Scam call looking for my credit card information. They called twice within 2 minutes after I booked a flight and left a message both times. One was saying they were Orbitz, the other was saying they were CheapO Air, both were saying that a flight had been declined and they needed my card information to rebook it. They actually just called again while I was typing this (less than five minutes later). Yay!
