First he was Jim. I hung up. Then he called back and he was jack. Guy didn't even know his own name. Tried telling me my windows was in critical error. Don't do what this fuck says. He is trying to connect to Yalls PC and steal information. Nice try buddy...

Called me about half a dozen times in less than 10 mins. Didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number. They left a static, scratchy sounding voicemail.

STOP CALLING ME!!! I DON'T KNOW YOU!!! I'M NOT BUYING ANYTHING!!! LEAVE ME THE HELL ALONE!!!

If you answer their call, you will be a target for every scammer in the world. These foreigners are the trash at the bottom of the barrel. They should be turned over to the firing squad immediately.

Appel de New York. Un gars avec un accent indien m'a dit qu'il recevait des notifications de mon ordinateur. Il dit appelé de la part de systèmes mécanics. Ces gars veulent toujours prendre le contrôle à distance de votre ordinateur en vous faisant installer un programme quelconque (un RAT (Remote Access Control)) Cest le deuxième appel du genre que je reçois. Ne jamais faire confiance à ce genre dappel, ne perdez pas de temps avec eux et ne leur donnez aucune information. SCAM!

Claimed to be from System Mechanic, saying that they detected a problem with my computer. Asked me to verify by opening Event Log (which always has errors) and to install their program (which would take over my computer so they could steal credit card info, email list, passwords, and such)

Known scam, I reported this to Iolo. They never call you on system problems, you have to contact them.

I had the same thing happen on my cell phone that iolo does not have.
I also got a call saying the guy with the India accent was with iolo and that they had a error from my computer and then changed it to modem. He knew my name but had my cell #. He wanted me to hook up my computer to his server. I told him to email what he wanted. He said he couldn't until I connect to the main server. I told him I needed to know why and that I wasn't a compliant person with ppl who called me instead of me calling them. He hung up. SCAM!!!

Received a phone call from this phone stating they were with XYZ (not real) tech support group, which I did purchase, however they said they were receiving flags on my account indicating my computer had been hacked and that I log into a program that would give them access to my computer so they could fix the problem. I wanted to verify so I asked for a call back number, which did not match my XYZ co. phone number and they told me they hadn't called and were aware of the problem and were dealing with it. When I call the "call back" number, they answered with XYZ company. Do not turn your computer over to them, it is a scam!
