Said they were the IRS but could not verify my Social Security number or who my CPA was this place is a big scam do not pay them any money for an ass bastards sounded like a towel head

Just received a call that I was going to be sued by the IRS even though I don't have a job for 2 years. Called back and got a guy with an accent and background tv noise. Then he hung up on me when I asked him what this is about. Complete scam to get your social security number, date of birth, address, etc. IRS will most likely have 202 area code and not call you. IRS will send letters instead.

Guy with accent named David Marshall said I was being sued by IRS for tax fraud in the amount of $6987. Reported trying to reach me at my home on 3 occasions. Told him I did not receive any type of notification. He offered no assistance. When I ask what was the point of me calling him, he said none except to be notified that I was being sued. I called back to get more information, another guy answered and said he was also David Marshall. When I started asking questions I was disconnected. I called again and was disconnected by another person. Now I think my number has been blocked. I only get a busy signal. Thanks for allowing me to share my story about this scam.
