Person with a thick Indian accent called pretending to be from the IRS. He demanded money claiming back taxes were owed. When I told him that he needs to stop harassing people and threatening them to steal from them, he responded "F-- off" and hung up the phone.

When you receive these calls, you should report them to the IRS on the following website:

they left me a message that the IRS has me under investigation.
It most be a scam.

This is a scam they tell you that you have an arrest warrant out for your arrest from the IRS . If this were an elderly person they might get scared and fall for this scam. These people should be arrested

add this scam caller to the list. We know the real IRS cannot call and threaten us. !

They call saying they are from the IRS. Saying that we have done our paperwork wrong. That we had to pay the amount owed otherwise we would get arrested. This is not fair we can lose our whole life saving because of this people.

We received a call from a man identifying himself as an IRS agent. He used the scare tactic of us going to jail if we did not pay back taxes from 2009-2014. Very disturbing call. These individuals should go to jail for harassing people.

I got also a call from officer John White, and said that I was under investigation and must call today . Is this scam?

Officer John White (tad of southern accent?) called left msg on my voice msg to say he was from IRS and my property was under investigation and I was being arrested. Called back few times someone with the same name answred and hungup on us and few time just got busy tones?
Is there any way to get this people arrested ?? Why can they do this and get away with it ?? sucks i am very upset

TOTAL SCAM! They try to use fear to get money and personal information by pretending to be an IRS agent and threatening arrest.
IRS does not call for collections and threaten arrest.

Scam These people have been calling me for over a month saying they are from the treasure department and , now got the same call the man stated
he was from IRS and my property was under investigation and I was going to being arrested. Called back, woman with british accent "please leave number. Scam 100%

I asked, where is your office? ah, yes, California, San Francisco. where specifically (gave it) why do you have a 650 area code? hang up!

identical to above-- how do we know that it is a scam or not?

I received the same call and message as XDog only he didn't have a hillbilly accent, as the call was finishing, I could hear a slightly NJ/Southern accent. This is about the 6th phone call I have received from a scam/IRS caller. Does anyone know how to stop these calls?
