My elderly mother received a phone call from (651) 644-9229 claiming they were calling to raise money for the police department and would she be willing to donate. They asked her for some personal information, which luckily she did not give. They asked over and over if she would give money. She kept telling the man on the phone she would think about it. My husband and I finally convinced my Mom to hang up the phone! When I called this number, I asked what kind of business this was. The man on the other end of the phone said they were a Telemarketing Company. When I asked what their purpose was, he said, "well, we raise money for cancer, or for the veterans." I hung up. Is this "company" cheating people out of money? They need to be stopped!
