Call Control Home

After receiving more than 30 calls, I finally decided to take matters into my own hands and call them back. I called over and over just to tie up their phone line. I would ask what their favorite movie was, if they liked coffee, what their favorite color was, ect. I figured as long as one of them was wasting their time on the phone with me, that was one less person they could call and scam. I kept getting passed up the chain of comman until I finally spoke to the supervisor who said my name would be removed and they would not call me again. It has been almost 5 days and I have not received a call. The BBB and FTC aren't doing anything to help us consumers so this seemed to be an effective way to annoy them. I could tell they were getting upset, but they have to answer the phone each time it rings just in case it might be someone they could get money from. Try it for yourself! I posted a video on YouTube as well.

This is a fraud. Received 4 phone calls in a row from this number before I decided to answer. Caller said his name was Mike Johnson (Indian guy) and that I had a pending lawsuit against my name. I asked what company he was calling from and he said he was calling from a law collection agency (no name). I hung up. He called back - this time as Mike Johnson and gave me the company name of American Law Collection. I said my number is on the Do Not Call Registry and hung up. He calls a third time and leaves a voice message. This time his name is David Johnson (same guy - definitely Indian). States I owe $5000.00 to some unnamed company and that if I do not call him back, I will be taken to court next week.

Just for kicks, I decided to call back. He answered as Mike Johnson again. He did not identify himself as a debt collector or make me aware the call was being recorded (which is the law). I asked him if they had sent something in writing. They had not. I asked if they could. He said no. I asked who I supposedly owed. He didn't know. He then read my social without verifying my name (which is illegal) and I told him so. He did not have my address, but asked for it. I refused. Then he asked for a credit card number to pay the $5000.00. I flatly refused. When I told him he had used several different names when he had spoken to me and that I had recorded the conversation he hung up. This is clearly not a legitimate company. If you have received a call, check your credit report and file a claim with the FTC. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OR AUTHORIZE THEM TO COLLECT MONEY FROM YOU.

someone called me from that same number, and calls me at least 3x everyday explaining that there is a law suit against my ss# and name pending, and that I have to respond to them to let them know my intentions. The callers name was Sean Martin. He stated that he was calling from the American Law Division in California.

Called to tell me I have a lawsuit pending for a payday loan. I really have no clue what they were talking about, as I never took any payday loan, and I told them about it. He said that maybe someone used my identity for it and now I have to pay them, no matter who took the loan, harassed me with jail and cussed me when I asked to talk to his superior. Thankfully, my brother told me right away it's a scam and I do not need to worry.
