I was called by a fake number in Japan as a response to an online teaching position I applied for but when I checked my voice-mail the real number 661-748-0240 was indicated as the source of the call which is a California number. Unfortunately I didn’t notice this until after my Skype interview where I was told we would have to set up a time for another online meeting where he can “check my connection” to make sure it was suitable for live instruction with the students. I said I wanted to see a contract first and his demeanor changed, he went on to say that he would have to check my connection first and that’s when a red flag went up and I knew it was a scam to hack my information from my computer. Also he was going on and on about the cold weather in Japan when the message was from California. It’s sad. BE WARNED!

My friend called me on Skype with this number. I was pissed when it blocked the call.

Just got a phone call from this number.I have a ad on CL for a drummer and they initially started the conversation about that." Liz" said she was gay and asked if that was a problem,After replying no I told her we were trying someone else out and if that didn't work then I would give her a call.Then is when it started about not only was she a good drummer but would also would give me a great "hand job "..When I told her that was already taken care of that I am married she said she could do a lot more than her.A lot of name calling about my wife..

Got a call and caller ID said call was blocked. The guy on the other end - Indian accent said his name is Sean Adam. When I asked him for his phone # he gave this one: 209-257-3232, and when I called it from another phone he actually answered. He told me that my computer had a virus and that he was going to fix it. He insisted that I had a PC even though I only have Macs, and I played along. He my name, address and phone # but he could have gotten that from White Pages. When I hung up on him, he called me back on this # - 661-748-0240

Got two calls from them during school. One in the middle of class, and the other in the middle of lunch. I answered the second call since I was at lunch, and she had a heavy Russian accent, saying something about my car being stolen and found in Tennessee, lawyer, and $7,000. That was complete crap since I'm only 15, nobody I live with in my family has a car, since I live in a downtown area, where you can pretty much walk everywhere you need to go, and school is only a 10 minute walk from where I live. No cars needed here, lol. I just hope no one actually falls for this kind of stuff. If you do, you'll be bankrupt faster than you'd least expect.

I just received a call today from the same number. I did not answer and who ever it was did not leave a voice mail.

Received call from this number-mans voice speaking Spanish, since I don't speak Spanish gave the phone to my husband, who does speak Spanish and the speaker responded in threatening voice with heavy Spanish accent -Do you think this is funny? Repeated this twice then hung up. received 2nd call a few minutes later , my husband answered the phone and this time , the caller didn't say anything, just hung up.
