Credit card scam

This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call list in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line. When you do get an operator, they hang up when asked for a company name, let alone a phone number and physical address, all of which they are required, by the TCPA, to provide when asked. Their recording states that the victim has been qualified for a 0% interest rate on all their credit card debt based on the scammer's monitoring of the accounts. However, the operator has to ask if the victim has a credit card and what the balance is, clearly indicating that the scammer has not been monitoring the victim's accounts as stated. This is clearly a scam. Do not give this scammer any credit card or other banking information.
