Caller ID Reads Bit Guard, Inc, leaves message stating is filing suit on work phone. I was to understand they can not leave personal information on a voice mail. States they are from CMIT Group. Why does caller ID show a different company. I think it is a scam. They want me to pay but wont give me proof of the debt..

CMIT aka Capital Mitigation - got a call from them- Scam. Do not give them any information. Do not pay them any monies. They state to have filed a lawsuit, have them prove it. You can look up most lawsuit in any state. Go to http://www.netronline.com/
You can look up anything that is of public records and lawsuits and warrants are public records. Tell them to go stuff it!
