Have received daily calls from this number (they won't leave a message). When I finally answered, it was a recording indicating it is Data Check of America and they are making their "final" attempt to collect a debt for an NSF check and to press 1. After pressing 1, I spoke with a Jessica who (1) said the call was being monitored for quality assurance, and (2) indicated she was calling about a returned check to Me N Eds Pizza for $30.91. I asked when the check was dated and she said December, 2003! I laughed!! She didn't appreciate the fact that I had laughed and started to get a bit rude. I asked why they hadn't sent me anything in writing. She said it was because she "just received this from collections recently." I told her that wasn't true as I've been receiving calls for over a month now. I told her to send it to me in writing (she had my name, the last 4 digits of my SSN, my bank name, and my address). I have previously talked to someone else from a "Check Systems" who basically said the same thing. Because they had all this personal info, I went ahead and called my bank just to check. Note: I have not written a check in years; have not bounced a check since I was about 18 y/o (I'm 49); and any check, if written, would've been covered by my overdraft protection. Bank said they have nothing and it appeared to be a scam. They put a note on my account and referred me to their fraud department as well. This is definitely a scam. We will see if I end up getting anything in the mail. But, based on my conversation with Jessica, she sounded unprofessional, hostile, etc. When I looked up Data Check of America (www.datacheckofamerica.com), they have a Consumer Alert on their website that indicates other parties are using their name and attempting to scam people out of their money. calls 2-3 time a day some stupid fony collections agency

Constantly receive calls from three different numbers both claiming that I have a bad check from 1998. I don't ever remember writing a bad check and told them I was not going to pay to go ahead and report on my credit, but to stop calling me! I receive 3-4 call daily. Even if I did write a bad check almost 20 years ago there is a statute of limitations and I'm sure I would've been notified by my banking institution at the time. This is a total scam and do not pay them anything!
If you did write a bad check, contact the place you wrote it to and pay them directly!

Got a call today from no. 678-885-9750 from a company called Data Check of America. The ladies name was Susan Roberts. She said she had been calling us for a while and wanted to inform us that we had an NSF check from our bank. After I voir dire her further I discovered it was off of a bank we do not use. Her is the funny part, the check was written according to Susan Roberts August 3, 1996. After a further discussion she realized this was NOT me and said she would refer this information back to there fraud dept. Please know, this was only after I called back 20 times because I was lied to, hung up on, treated as trash, and drug through shame. Susan never, planned on my tenacity and grit that I have to defend my name or call you out. By the way, Susan is a liar and she is part of a scam. Stand your ground, these folks are trash.

Talked to this lady who said we had a returned check from our bank account from 1999 to a pizza place. Had my SS# read it off to me. Then said they had my current husbands ss# needed to verifiy his name. I did not give it to them. She stated I needed to go on line with the information she was going to give me so I could pay this debt or they were going to report this to the credit reporting agencies. She said the check was for $43 and I now owed $203. I then started asking question and she got rude. I told her this was a scam and she called me rude and that I was yelling at her. Darn right I was yelling. Don't fall for this scam.

This Number Keeps Calling Me I Push 1 To See What It's About...Since Non Stop Calling...They Hung Up And So I Called Back And They Answer With And They Announce There "Name" They Ask For Some Guy Who I Have No Idea Is!!! This Has Been Going On For MONTHS!! Since I Got My New Number In April UGH!!!

Calling from Check systems they don't eve know how to spell the name of the company, get upset right away and or hang up on you I advise sorry I don't understand what you are telling me they speak so fast, its hard to hear. Next call comes in dialed 1 don't connect, another call comes in and they start harassing advised I have bad checks..HUH I don't even have a bank account, how am I suppose to have bad checks.

They call with an automated message that you have a debt, press 1. At that point I just hang up. First off my bank would notify me if there was a problem and I don't write checks. I keep getting these calls daily three and four times a day. I don't usually answer them, but did today that is why I knew it was automated.

Upon answering this recorded caller...a SCAM message about a legal matter and some Check/Chex issue. I don't write checks, but proceeded to press '1' to see what this was really about. The call disconnected once I pressed '1'. I tried calling it back and just receive a busy signal. Must not be so important after all!

They always call me about some bullshit that isn't even my matter

Caller was recorded stated that this matter is referred to retail Chex systems never heard of them same company scammers trying a different scam
