I just received a call from Raymond Stewart. He called on an unknown caller number. He said to call 682-730-0685. He said that I have been notified and they are serving me with papers at my place of work- which one is totally illegal and serving at my place of residence. Well I do not live in the county or that part of the state he is claiming this claim is against me. Sounds like a scam!!
I just received a call today from a Raymond Stewart saying he was from United Carrier Service and there was a claim filed against me in the county I currently live in. He said it had to do with a debt incurred in 2015. When he said I can set up payments with his firm by credit or debit I laughed and said no sir, you can send me a letter in the mail so that I can validate you are who you say you are. He said that mailing a letter is not an option but he can email me all the information. I said no sir. My father is a cop and I know how scams are played. He then said okay then all I can say is you can handle the claim in court. I laughed and said yes sir. Also, he answered the phone chewing food. Seriously?! That was red flag number one for me.
Started calling my grandma some weeks ago trying to contact me about someone filing a claim against me. Fast forward to today and I get a call from someone claiming to be a server with the United States courtier service, David Cole from a private #, let it go to voicemail. So I call up C. Madison to try to sort it out. I do not deny the debt they claim but when I stated that I would not make a payment with my debit card but would be more than happy to send a money order or cashiers check for the settlement amount, the man i was speaking to, Donald Baxter, become increasingly agitated, would not let me speak, said he has my ss#(he had the last 4-thats sent with the claim) if he wanted my money, he could take it. Yelled at me, "young lady, you will take responsibility for you debt one way or another!" He was very hostile. I Called my local P.D. scam dept and they explicitly said do not make any payments to debt collectors over the phone. So I'm inclined to believe they are not what they say they are. They address seems to be incorrect, as well. Should have a suite#. Will be calling my district clerk Monday to see if anything has been opened against my name.
The same idiot called my wife about a debt. They also called my daughter and my father who has an unlisted number
Claim to be an independent processor by the name of Luke Smith with United Carrier Services. According to him he called my number saying that he had an order to serve my father at home address and/or place of employment the next day after the call with a connection of a recent claim previously filed against him.
I searched United Carrier Services and its a truck company.
