I am in Vancouver BC Canada. Caller said my HSBC card had not been activated. I do not have an account with HSBC. I disconnected at that point. Thanks everyone for your posts.

The recording states, We're sorry to inform you that your debit card has
been stolen. This company is not affiliated with my bank.

Received a call from this today. They did NOT leave a message as I do not answer calls from people and/or numbers I do not know. The name that came up on the caller I.D. was "RESET". I received this call at 12:49pm today.

Called an hour ago claiming to be from Bank of America , and said my account was frozen so press 1. I pressed to get a human and no answer. I called back and a carribean woman's voice is used for the answering machine. She just says they're busy, but mentions no company or individual's name. Pretty sure this is a Caribbean island scam of some sort. Maybe the American Virgin Islands, since it's in English and a US number is used.

I got a call from this number on my home phone and my cell phone. I ignored it on cell phone. I called it back with call block on home phone. Message said to press one to have calls stopped. Later they called my home phone. I answered and it was a message saying they were calling from my bank. The call stated my debit card was frozen. I don't have a debit card. I called back and got the message to press 1 to remove my name from call list. I waited to see if there was any further communication. There was none. Just another Phishing attempt.
