Some kind of scam where they want to buy annuities from you. Looking to sell a product or service relating thereto.

I believe it was a cold-call solicitation looking for a relative of mine who does not live with me and who has never had or would have had reason to be contacted on my cell phone. I believe the only nexus is that we share the same unique surname and live in the same part of the state of Illinois. He has confirmed that he has never inquired nor done business with any entity of this type.

They claimed to be calling for insurance but my research determined they were trying to solicit business to buy or lend based on a structured settlement. They did not get that far with me because I told them that I was on the do not call list, that they were calling my personal cell phone, they were calling for a relative who did not belong to that number, and to never call me again.
