Truly don't know if this is a legit agency

They called my daughter for a bill from John Hopkins. (September 2015) She was smart enough to call me before giving them her personal info. It sounded suspicious because we paid that bill. Somehow they're getting access to this info and playing into people's fears. Who can we report this to? This has been going on for several years, these people should be in jail.

Number called & left no voicemail, sounds like a scam

These scumbs call daily. I ans once and asked who they are calling for. Told them to send information in the mail as I don't do business on the phone. They can't tell who they are collecting for, where the money is owed (except tot hem). There are NO records of me owing any$. WHY is homeland security not stopping the terrorist funding

Thank you for the above information, they keep calling my work phone and while I do use Johns Hopkins, same thing - bills are paid. They never leave voice mails either. Appreciate you all leaving your experiences so I didn't end up getting scammed.

No answer when I ask who is calling

They wanted to collect a hospital bill. The guy's name with the other British accent is Richard Peterson. They sound exactly the same. They both said they have by personal information because I insisted they were a scam he provided me with my address. But he couldn't give me the details to the hosptial bill other then the date. Luckily, I couldn't find my card to pay the so call bill.

Rec'd a call but no message left. Elderly mother was a patient in Johns Hopkins facilities twice within past 6 mo. Bills are paid in full. Assume caller intended to perpetrate a scam if I had answered the phone.

Hung up as soon as I picked up.

claimed to be Nationwide credit collection agency. Demanded I pay immediately for a bill; asked for me to verify my information and became agitated when I wanted to know what the bill was. Became more agitated when I refused to verify personal information until he verified who he was and he was unable to. He finally told me the bill was a hospital bill and gave me the name. When I said I was going to call the hospital myself he said that not paying him first would further hurt my credit. I called the hospital and they said my balance is zero and they had no idea why I would get such a call, but it was not from them.
