I have received at least 10 of these calls form different voices , different numbers, and different names. I have complained and since I have complained it has gotten worse not sure any one will do anything about this, all I know is I owe the IRS nothing. We can use technology to trace many things but apparently not against people are committing fraud. May be some day. They have a number or numbers and it should not be that hard to find where they are coming from.

This number was recently used to contact me in an IRS tax scam. I was initially contacted by this number, but they called me back from 905-796-6408. They claimed to be IRS officers and that they would issue tax evasion charges against me immediately if I didn't pay them $5900 in back taxes. It was elaborate (they had phony names, IRS badge numbers, a phony case number) and they demanded that I stay on the phone with them the entire time. If I hung up on them, they would proceed with filing charges against me. They told me to go to my bank and take out $800. Then they told me to get a 'reloaded' debit card from a store to put the money on. When I couldn't find one of those cards, they said that I could wire the money to a Reza Fassihi in Anaheim, CA. This was the final red flag for me and I hung up on them and reported them to the Department of Treasury. If you get a call from them, this is a very well known IRS phone scam. It's why they claim that you have to act immediately and can't hang up on them; it's to stop you from googling and finding out about it. Don't fall for them.

This is the second time that I received a call. They left a message saying that I need to contact their office or I could be arrested for tax fraud. When I called back the connection was horrible and the man I was speaking to had a thick accent. After asking him to repeat himself several time he finally hung up. I am pretty sure that the IRS does not do business this way. I will not be calling them back and will be blocking this number. Thank you to everyone who has reported this scam.

I was called more than once even though I reported this to the IRS. Why doesn't the govt do something about these calls...I pity someone that actually gives information to them!

They left a message saying I was reported for tax fraud. I called to see what information I could get to report them. They answer " Internal Revenue Service" I asked for the man's name and badge number, he replied "David Richmond" Badge No. 12345. I asked if his United States Treasury badge no. is 12345 and he hung up!!!!

Reported to IRS!

Recieved a voice message with instructions to call 703-957-9357 due to a legal peitition. When I returned the call I was informed that the individual, with a strong Indian accent, was an IRS Revenue Agent and that I was wanted tax fraud. When I challenged him, he told me I could resolve my tax issue and transfered me to another "Revenue Agent" who started to give me very explicit istructions on how to resolve my "issue" which involved taking cash and transfering it to the ESTPS system then visiting my local IRS office to resolve the associated paperwork. When I challenged him to provide his supervisors name and phone number so I could validatie is employment at the IRS he became arguementative and hung up on me. So I took a quick trip to the local IRS office, less than a mile from my work, to report the incident. These two are complete FRAUDS. DO NOT PAY THEN THEY ARE NOT IRS EMPLOYEES!!!!
