Lower interest rate on credit cards. I do not have any credit cards. They ask for credit card numbers, suggesting thatin givening them my info (credit card numbers and addresses, names on the cards), they will lower my interest rates.

They are trying to get me to sign up for credit card rate reduction. They claim at the beginning that this call is about my "credit card account".

They state that they are calling about my "credit card" (very general). And they say there is nothing wrong my my account, but they are offering a "rate reduction" for my credit card. That is all in the per-recorded message, then I press 1 to talk with someone... That's when I ask to be removed from their call list and that's when they just hang up on me.

I spoke to them once, caller claimed 2work 4 my credit card company. Were phishing 4 my CC numbers by supplying partial info to get me to fill in rest. I also called credit card company to report.

The call started with a recording telling me that there was a problem with a credit card (didn't mention which), at which point it forwarded me to an operator who was trying to sell me debt consolidation services.

When asked whom they were working for or representing, they would not tell me.

All they kept asking for was my social security number and name to see if I was eligible. That seemed quite fishy to me.

They claimed to be from "Cardmember Services" and were offering to lower my interest rate on my credit card. They do not disclose which credit card or bank during the pre-recorded call.
