PC REPAIR SERVICES

recieved a call from this phone number. He said he was from PC Trackers and that there was unusual activity from my IP address. He wanted me to log on to my computer so he could "walk me though some steps" inorder for him to investigate. He claimed he was subcontracted with Microsoft. I told him I would call him back and asked for a phone number.

My research on it: PC Trackers do have a web site but they do not show a phone number, mailing address, or email address. My guess is the website is part of the scam. When I called the number he gave me I got an automated message for a company that was not PC Trackers. I *69ed the number he called from. It was the 707-658-7904. I tried calling that number within a half hour of recieving a call from it. The number said it was no longer in service.

PC Virus Services. The called said that McAfee asked them to call and that they were monitoring my computer and I had downloaded a virus. I checked their phone number and they are reported as scammers.
