Received an email yesterday from Ken Robinson (kenrobinson961@outlook.com) asking for an estimate on an "in stock" sink with certain specifications. When I emailed back that we do not stock sinks, we either source or special order per project, he sent another message asking for an estimate anyway. If someone only signs their name on an email like this, I'm always a little leery---I've had similar emails come in before. After more emails---I gave him three options and sent specs----he selected one, and said he would need 35. Then he got into all of the shipping stuff as many of you have experienced. (My supplier is not charging me freight.) At any rate, I told him I could not put together the final estimate until I had an address, and phone number as well. This is what he sent:

The phone number he listed led me to this site.

I've also learned if it seems fishy, call the credit card company before running the charge. It has saved my company a couple of times!

We are LED manufacture. This guy email to our company and wanted to purchase over $10.000 lights. Ask to ship to Chile, and someone gonna come and pick them up. He even required we contact a shipping company by email, but we can't find such company online. Once we said we only accept wire transfer for worldwide he just disappear.

Gave me this phone number and an address in Ohio that was a Countertopfactory.com. Made no sense, so continued to look into it. Glad I found this site quickly!

Brian Williams wants 60 Stainless Steel Sinks, I believed it was a scam right up front, then i searched his number....LOL.......... they are always the same, I get one of these about every 6 months, wanted a product, shipped to some far away place, where they could buy the product for less........... duh

Just had the same guy, "Jeff Washington" want to purchase some of our product. Same description as above, but wanted to use Crawler Shipping company. Heavy accent, and always calls from a magic jack number. Do not trust this guy!

So I responded back with our info and received another response from him:

Thanks for getting back to me again, Well I am okay with the SIS-201-DI SKAT -1-3/4 Double bowl kitchen sink which cost $414.00 and I will be needing 25 units for my project work,Kindly prepare me a quote or email me back with the whole total cost of the 25 units without installation, also the sink will be picking up from your location. Advice and get back to me so we can proceed soon.

I, too, received a message from Gary Simmons asking for 30 stainless sinks. I told him I would not be able to ship them to Chile. His message was nearly identical to the one above!

Just a heads up to all. This is 100% a scam. They reached out to us via our web site requesting pricing as well. They are looking for our manufacturers ID# to use on their end. Don't waste your time.

I assume it is a credit card scam. They buy, pay with card, have you ship it or someone local to pick it up. By the time you find out that the credit card is stolen and the charge is reversed, it is too late. When you take a phone order, you take this risk. Any dispute would not be in your favor.

We where contacted by this person ( Brian Williams?) as well through our web site by e-mail. Wants prices on items we sell but is very evasive when asked about who he was, what company he was with. Never did get any answers. Wants to pick up equipment at our location in FL. Number has CA. Area code. Using a Gmail account: brianwilliam175@gmail.com. Very suspicious.
