The first call was in the morning from a man asking about renewing my Tennis magazine subscription. I declined the offer and went on with my day.

Then another call came in the afternoon, but my roommate answered it and told the caller to hold on for me. I say hello only a few seconds later and there's NO RESPONSE. And now that I see this "business" claims to deal with more than one magazine title, I have to wonder how the hell do they stay in business with these kinds of stupid practices? They might as well go with robo-calling!

They were calling about a magazine subscription they thought I had to STAR magazine. I do not have such a subscription. They wanted to make sure I was receiving the magazine ok. When I said I am not a subscriber, they asked what magazines I do subscribe to. I asked why they were asking, and they hung up on me. They called back two more times that day but I did not answer, and they did not leave a message.
