Was called and they left a message telling me that I will have a warrant for my arrest and that I would be picked up at my home or work. No name was left on the voice mail. It was a lady that had a foreign accent. I called back and no answer. This is a scam and be careful with these people.
The same thing happened to me twice over the last few weeks. You can go to https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1 and file a complaint. Use the Other tab on the bottom right hand side. I hope if enough people make complaints someone will look into this and stop them.
Spoke to a female with a foreign accent on 1/12/15. She said that a warrant for my arrest had been issued and that a law enforcement officer would be picking my up within 2 hours. She said that she was with a law firm that was hired by a National Credit Company. She said that I owed $847 in unpaid bills over the past couple of years but after court cost I will have to pay between $8000-$9000.
The message was cut-off for the most part, but I would hear caller saying that y had a case against me and said I would be arrested at my home or work. And that he was submitting paper work to the court house for my arrest and would see me in court, don't remember if he said a specific day! So I've decided just as the previous commentor that I will be contacting the LA Police Department and LA Times as well as a few other newspapers that are within my area. And Yes I truly believe these are scams calls; espceially when they say to "God Bless" to have a Blessed Day or "Good Luck"! Now you know that they wouldn't care if you are supposed to be a criminal?
