I have Jay Henry on the call right now. Apparently I owe $8700. I may be arrested. They will arrest me in the next 30 minutes

Caller said he was Officer Philip Edwards with IRS. IRS and Atty Generals office was monitoring these calls. Had an accent and I had to ask him to repeat what he had said several times. Said something about 'legal allegation, tax fraud, arrest warrant issued, legal affidavit.' Asked me when was the last time I had filed tax return. When I told him last year, he said from 2009 to 2014 I had made some numerical errors on my tax return and with taxes, late fees and penalties I owed $17560. For example 'when it was $1000, you came up with $600, $400 short.' Was not negligence but willful act to defraud. At this point he was reading to me and I was not supposed to interrupt him, I could ask him questions when he finished, but I had had about all I could stand and I did interrupt him and told him to take a trip to visit the devil, I did not owe the IRS anything, not to call me anymore and that I knew they were scammers. If you get a call from this number, they will leave a message, but do not call them.

Yes. Exact same message. SCAM. A South Asian sounding man answered my call, told me that I was being sued by the IRS for tax fraud. He told me that his name was Kevin Peter (code number "GS 3997"). He told me to write down that my case number was "DC 2597". His claim was that I owed over $9,000 in unpaid taxes ( I owe nothing) and had to appear in court in Washington, DC, and that I should come ( I forget when, IF he actually mentioned a phony date) with my criminal attorney. If I refused, he would send police officers to arrest me. My "crime" was punishable by a imprisonment AND a fine in addition to the taxes owed. At this point, I knew he was trying to scam me, so I told him that I didn't have a criminal attorney, and did not feel like travelling to Washington. I told him to go ahead and send the police to get me. This pretty much killed the call. He paused, then said, "Would you like to settle out of court?". I laughed out loud and said, "Fuck you, asshole!". I called him back several times the same day (May 11, 2015), and insulted him frequently in the most creative ways possible. He replied not with the professionalism of a government employee, but with insults like "Your mother is a ... dog" Ha! The number is a cell phone number, but the same man, when asked his name, changed it on each call to a different simple Anglo name. He claimed to be Kevin Peter, Jay Henry, Mark Thomas and Kevin Smith. He may NOT have caller ID, because he KEPT ANSWERING THE PHONE.
