Got the same message. Sounds like a scam to me.
Got a message on mom's vm around 11 am this morning with the same automated female voice making the same threat about grand jury, etc etc. First off, if the IRS *EVER* wanted to communicate with you to do any kind of audit or anything regarding your personal taxes, they would do so IN WRITING FIRST. Anyone just dropping a message in your voicemail box about grand jury indictments is not only asinine, but unconscionable and probably illegal. warn others and if you want to put yourself on the proverbial radar, call the IRS and report it. Call from another cell phone or payphone (if you can find one)
Report calls to the IRS.GOV
US Treasury, appearing before a Grand Judge if I don't call back on said number. Also I've gotten call from Audit deparen't and if I don't call than I will get arrested.
Received automated call from female voice and messaged stated that I would be arrested and prosecuted for Tax Fraud if I did not return call immediately. Had a voicemail stating the same thing yesterday from the same number. I called and it was a male voice with a middle eastern accent. I stated to him that I would notify authorities if called again and he disconnected the call.
