Same things. Received a text this morning about 6 women to get full highlights. Googled it right away and found this.
Had the exact same story texted to me too! I just knew this had to be a SCAM. Thank you Google!! And thank you to all who posted here.
I got a text from a Mary requesting hair color and cutting services. She asked for a quote for 6 girls with long hair and agreed on the maximum price. I became suspicious that this could be either an escort service or human trafficking when these poor ladies could be dropped off by a driver only two at a time per day. She avoided my every question and refused to speak to me due to being hearing impared.
The day before the first apt, of course they cancelled and wanted to reschedule for future. Due to our company policy, I requested a credit card to be kept on file, and she avoided the question and insisted that the driver will deliver the money gram with the total service, oh, but "can you do me a little favor" she would say for the 5 th time. meaning, can you pay the driver cause she'll be having surgery at the time. How convenient.
I did not respond and instead googled her number. Thank you all who posted, you saved me from a scam.
Same. She(?) gave me a credit card number to run the transaction (I played along to see how far it would go). I called Visa and the card was reported stolen a week prior. I filled a report with the FTC online. The more complaints they have-the more they will investigate it.
I've had quite the conversation with "her" also, it makes you wonder; are they not aware of the Internet? I have been dragging them along for a little while. Today I got a good morning text. So nice
