They called me too. Cussed and screamed at me when I said it was a scam. Admitted it was s scam then harassed me spam calling for nearly 30 mins
We also were just called and they identified themselves as calling from the IRS and as we all know, the IRS does not place calls to individuals. It is definitely a scam.
Called and left two messages 3 hours apart stating he was Richard Williams and that I needed to return a call to his"division". Do not disregard the call or things will turn badly as the situation unfolds. Sounds like he tried to cover his accent with a fake southern accent. Sounds like a definite scam! I've recently received several calls from the New York area with similar threats. Be advised you cannot trust people over the phone! If in doubt, check them out!
Definitely a scam, they called today and left this message. Sounds like a Jamacian accent. "You or your region or Tony off record to do return the call. The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. My name is Richard Williams and hotline to my division is 718-725-8642. I repeat the number for you. That is 718-725-8642. Now don't try to disregard this message and do return the call. If you don't return the call and I don't hear from you or Tony either then the only thing I can do is wish you a good luck as situation unfolds on you. So give me a call back as soon as you get this message. Thank you."
Just happened to me to says his name was jack Cooper from Its in a Hindu accent
