Called me saying I was eligible for 30 percent off my electric bill for the next year because I always pay on time. Caller never mentioned con ed but that was the name on the incoming call. Just said electric bill. Very suspect from the start. When I asked for a number to call back when I had a copy of my electric bill, she hung up. Very heavy accent and poor grammar, not to say that means anything but she was especially less fluent in English than most.

Caller stated they were a ConEd employee and stated I could save money by switching my main power supplier to an ESCO. Caller knew my name and address and asked me to get my bill. after I got my bill, caller asked how much my supply charge is, my GRT charge, etc. i became suspicious and asked the caller not call me again and stated I do not want to save money on my bill.

They called twice today (10/31). Same phone # but 1st time Caller ID name was +17188528749 and the 2nd it was Con Edison. The 1st time it went to VM but no message. The 2nd time I answered but no response. The number is that for a Con Ed office in downtown Brooklyn during repairs. This seems like scammers spoofing a Con Ed number .
