Some guy with a strange accent telling me he is with Legal Affairs with the Department of Treasury regarding a legal issue. Said if I was to busy to call him back to have my attorney call him, he wished me good luck and hung up.

THIS DUDE HAS A FOREIGN ACCENT OR SPANISH ACCENT BUT SPEAKS BROKEN ENGLISH. MY LOCAL POLICE DEPT NOW HAS THIS PHONE NUMBER. IT IS NICE TO HAVE FRIENDS IN GOOD PLACES, ALSO GOOD WHEN YOUR LOCAL POLICE KNOW WHO YOU ARE FROM LIVING IN THE SAME TOWN FOR SO LONG AND WORK AT THE LOCAL WALMART. SO, BRING YOUR PHONE TO YOUR LOCAL POLICE DEPT AND HAVE THEM LISTEN TO THE VOICE MESSAGE. THEY WILL ALSO TAKE DOWN THE PHONE NUMBER.

I received a call from this number too, saying it was Adam Walker with the U.S. treasury and Department of Legal Affairs. He wanted me to call him back and said I was facing a legal mess against my name, that charges were already filed against me lol. Idiots.

They left a message on my machine. Shawn Williams with the Department of Legal Affairs talked about a lien and enforcement action being taken against me and that I should talk to my attorney because I would be in a legal mess if I did not call back. From where???? He did not mention US Treasury or IRS. Could not figure who it could be or how they could have a claim against me. It was the vagueness that made me suspect.

Check with the real IRS if you flipped threw all the complaints on the second page the IRS said this was a scam. TIGTA is the best site to complain about the calls if your going to have a heart a attack about it is to call the real IRS. The scammers have 12 days to get their acts together before the closing of the tax year so they are rambling calling people to act like they are the law. You and i all know this is a scam the ones that are confused and scared. Just relax and not get stressed out. If you have a blance the IRS will mail you a bill in the mail not call and we do not know if that Badge number is real if the IRS has no idea or clue of the badge number then its not real, Hun it frightens people when people call for money. You need to be vigilant and not to be stressed. Please for common sense wise use your thoughts before over reacting. IRS is on this site as well on Page two on May 10 th saying this was a scam. The FTC and the TIGTA are taking this serious. This number will be removed if not soon. I wonder if its terriorist doing this your thinking no its jack asses thinking they are someone special by the way here is a 411 for all keep your number private that means do not even get free samples or quotes online use like a junk cell 9 times out of ten they are using junk numbers that is being recycled from the phone company that means keeping your digits off of the public phone book sites. They find this buy paying for information they are scammers that is what they do. They want to scare the chit out of you and make money doing it. Best of luck to you and all the ones reading this reply. Seriously people be calm and relax nothing will happen exceptionally these crooks. They will try anything to steal your identity . Ass wipes need to all kill over some how i say mail them poop in the mail they will never call you again. I say chit for chit and a eye for a what a middle eastern eye. Phuck them be strong never let these people scare the chit out of you. Also you need to keep that number private not be getting samples , publishers clearing house games and quotes the phone companies will blast the number on public phone books if you are able to be found. Yes, Big scam saying Dept of treasury 6 months in jail, Told me not to yell at him Im being recorded. Said his name is Adam Walker Badge # F17984.
Last time he called said he was with the IRS this was about 2 months ago.
Not sure how they have some info on you but don't give them any info at all and Block Number from Phone if you can.

I'm going to jail for 6 months because I didn't pay my taxes. I said I always pay my taxes and my attorney will be in touch. He then hung up. Idiot! He said his name was David Miller.

i had a call today from 718-873-9187 stating this was a legal mess the call was traced in NY. The noise in the back ground was hard to hear and the man was saying he was from the US treasury i owe them money he wanted to talk to my laywer. The man was obviously a scammer the man had no badge number to give to me for 1 he never gave me it . He called him self a agent of the law for 2. For three he said i owed them money when i know i never owed anyone money.for 3 . 4. he called my cell and called to threaten me of jail and deportation when i am American and white, He said US treasury is doing a collections sweep and i am charged of impersonating a tax payer. I basically laughed at him and said wow you come up on that on your own and then i said i am not stupid scammer nice try i hung up before he could answer he called back and said he would come with cops to arrest me i am still waiting for that to happen.
He had a heavy accent of middle eastern and lots of noise in the back ground of others talking. I also heard coffee being sipped in the back ground. I think this was a coffee shop or something with WIFI access. It was traced in NY.

I received the same phone call as everyone else-- a guy with a Middle Eastern accent claiming he was from the Department of Legal Affairs and warned me to find an attorney.

Just got the same call...did not answer. Man said that he worked for the Treasury Dept and threatened lawsuits from them. He asked for my lawyers name. Identified himself as Adam Walker and he had a strange accent.

Just got the same phone call. Told me he worked for the Government Affairs and wanted to know if I had a lawyer to represent me. When I told him I was an attorney he said good you will need it....

Chris Wilcox, said the government was filling a law suit that I had committed a federal crime. Would not answer any questions, wanted my lawyers name. I repeatedly asked what he was calling about, he said I was going to jail for a long time and hung up. He also stated he was calling from a government office and the call was being recorded.

Just got this call; it's a male caller with a Middle Eastern accent who mispronounced my first name and used a last name I haven't gone by in two years. He just kept asking, "Is this so-and-so?" very insistently and when I wouldn't identify myself he hung up.

My boyfriend just got a call from this number. The guy had a heavy middle eastern accent too. I googled the number and found these comments. They re trying pretty hard, huh? Lol
