Credit Card Services; stated I had no issues currently but that if I called, they could lower my interest rate. This happens several times a week.
want credit card numbers
I was told I could lower my interest rates on my credit cards. Once the end of the prerecorded message came, it said press 1 to talk to a representative. I pressed one and received a live person asking if I was calling to lower my rates, and I said no I am calling to take my number off of whatever list that I was on, since I am on the do not call registry. He told me to file a complaint at 801-913-9074. I called the number and received a man named Tony. He told me he had talked to the same guy not 10 minutes prior and took up too much of his time doing the same thing I was trying to do. I tried to call the number back and received a voice mail for Frank Jones.
lower credit card payments
It's a call from "Cardholder Services" - an organization to which I have no prior relationship. I believe it's a scam. One time I did engage with the caller to figure out what they wanted, and they wanted me to switch over my debt to them and make payments to them. However, the process would take a few months, but I should start making payments right away. I did a search for this online and found many other people describing the same situation, and many of the reports suggested they were scammed out of their money. I made a call to my credit card company to see if this was a program they participated in and they told me that it was not. I get a few calls a day, about 6 days a week. The number changes periodically, but there are several numbers they call from.
