Someone asked for Sarah. I said no Sarah here. They then jumped right to asking for money.
9am today got call and only asked by my first name, didn't wait to verify if I was correct person asked for and then went right into a plea for a veterans donation. Wanted $50 for red level $35 for green level and $20 for white level. For fun, I said yes to donation and asked the guy where he was calling from since it displayed a Colorado area code, he said NEVADA. Then, he transferred me to his "supervisor" to verify my donation and the amount was repeated by the new guy and he wanted me to spell my last name, which means, translated, he either didn't have it OR he was verifying info, I started out spelling the first TWO letters of something NOT my last name and cut off call. My guess, identity thieves trying to get enough basic info to hit accounts, skip tracers for sleazy third party collection agencies, or someone creating sales "pigeon" lists to resale. They are now blocked, beware.
Caller asked for Arnold. Told her she had wrong number. She responded maybe I can help. Then asked if I don't could help with breast cancer research donation. I researched phone number and saw someone else posted similar incident except valet was looking for Juan.
