This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line. They fail to provide a phone number or address when asked, yet further violating the TCPA. Their recording states that new laws require credit card processing companies to give discounts on credit card purchases, but that the companies are not doing this and the victim needs to speak to the scammer's staff to get their discounts. This is clearly a scam, as legitimate financial organizations do not solicit in this manner. Do not provide this scammer with any personal or financial information.
