Magazine subscriptions for Guidepost and Reader's Digest. Have contacted Guidepost Customer Service directly and they indicate they have nothing to do with US Digest.
They said that our Newsweeek subscription had automatically been renewed but that they had yet to receive the payment. Her first remark about payment was that we always pay by credit card, which we have never done,so then she wanted our checkbook number, etc., but she didn't say why she wanted. I told her that my wife had it and wasn't home right now, so she claims she'll call back later for it. Obviously, she's not going to get. IF she does happen to call back. We know that this is a scam, plus the fact that we have the records showing that we have paid our subscription fee. She said that she was calling from Newsweek, but that's not what the caller ID said.
