(727) 848-1865 Live call recorded 25 January 2017 ("Jake at Senior Benefits with info about final expense insurance...")
Caller ID: "Kelly Ariel"
A live telemarketing "cold call" from "Jake" at "Senior Benefits" about final expense insurance. The connection was poor at first and we had difficulty hearing each other.
I decided not to play with this caller because he was just the screener. I'm sorry now I didn't agree to have his "local agent" contact me because I could have had fun speaking with him.
This might be a legitimate offer, but their blatant disregard of the Do Not Call list certainly speaks volumes about their business ethic.
Thanks to Google Voice, here is a transcript of of this unwanted telemarketing "cold-call":
Google Voice announces: "This call is now being recorded"
[me:] "Hello?"
[they:] "Hi, my name is Jake calling from Senior Benefits. How are you today?"
[me:] "Jake? Hello? Yes?"
[they:] "Hello? Hello? Alright now, so I'm calling to, yes, my name is Jake and I'm calling to uh provide some information. It's about this uh new low cost final expense insurance plan that's just recently been approved in your state. Would you be interested in learning some more about this plan?"
[me:] "I didn't hear all that. An insurance and for what?"
[they:] "It's a final expense insurance plan, and it's just recently been approved in your state. It's designed to cover 100% of funeral expenses, and our local agent can give you a call back in a couple of days with some more complete information. Would you be interested in learning more about this new plan?"
[me:] "No thank you."
[they:] "That's alright, and thanks for time anyways."
[me:] "Have a good..." [recording shut off].
