This company keeps calling me. I only owe Macys and continue to pay my bill so what do they want from me? I call the # but they don't answer?

They identified themselves as Portfolio Recovery calling about an old Capital One debt. The caller even admitted that the debt was too old for them to sue me but they would still like payment since debts never go away. I informed the caller that since she was calling about an "alleged debt" that is past the statute of limitations, I was terminating the call. She kept on talking, so I said, "Bye, Felicia" and hung up!

calling me for credit card debts that are 12 years old, guess they don't know Florida has a 3 year limit on recovery's. Do they ever give up.

Call at least 10 times a day, all week, even Saturday & Sunday. I never answer, they never leave a voicemail message. Very annoying, I really want this calls to stop.

Portfolio Recovery got ahold of an old written off debt and has been calling me for years! The debt was charged off over 8 years ago so I just don't answer, then check the number and see who called. If it's Portfolio Recovery they get added to the reject list on my phone.

I received 3 calls from them at different times. Each time I returned the call, they ask me for my personal information. Each time I told them that THEY must identify who they are, the reason for contacting me and such. They refused.. I hung up.

Called and asked for El Jefe, I then stated "that is I", they went on to ask if I was circumcized! WTF?! They went on to say they were doing a survey. I immediately hung up on them.

Received a message from a caller (identified as Danny Archer on behalf of US Treasury). He claimed 2nd attempt before having me btought up on a Federal criminal offense. 2nd HOAX call of this nature!

Portfolio Recovery and they don't leave a message!

They have been calling my cell phone periodically looking for a specific person and keep telling them there is no one here of the name nor do we know anyone by that name. They are relentless. Since I don't have a smart phone, only a cell phone, I cannot block this phone number. Now I know they are a debt collection company. I sure would like to get them to stop harassing me and my family.

I block any calls and any unknown area codes. Remember there is a statute of limitations on these debts. Check with your state to see what the limitations are on any uncollected debts you may have. Portfolio Recovery has a lot of out-of-state area codes that they use. Beware before you answer your phone calls.

They said they are calling about a vehicle recall on jeep I don't own.

This is regarding an alleged debt. The debt has been settled. This caller has received this debt thing from another dubious, "collection agency which had been reported for trying to collect debts with no paperwork. Same thing here. They named the debt holder as Capital One...?
