This was a live call. They pretended to be a representative from Science Illustrated. They wanted me to commit to continued service for 2 years for a fee of 48 dollars. They first asked me some questions about if I was getting my magazine ok. They then said they wanted to make me an offer for continued service. I said no and hung up and looked at the caller ID.

don't recall, might have been subsription sales but told them REPEATEDLY months ago i was on do not call registry and not to call again but they keep calling many times a day every stinking day so i am finally reporting it and hope you can do something

scam - called the magazine; doesn't operate that way
IT WASN"T THE MAGAZINE REPS WHO CALLED; THIS WAS FRAUD
wanted my credit card number over the phone to renew; they lied about my subscription expiration date (said 2 more issues; actually good to 5/15. BHG confirmed -- I called magazine to report this call; spoke to Chantelle in customer service). I became suspicious when I was told that call would be transferred to a secured line for account info, and background noise did not change or pause. Didn't sound like a transfer; sounded like someone handed the phone over to someone else. I refused to give any info to them. Said they were on a 10-day billing cycle and would I please take care of it right away. My refusal flustered the 'supervisor' who took the 'secure' call. She wasn't expected that kind of a reaction from a 'customer.'
