Gas Discount on my natural gas account. When I asked if they were with Dominion East Ohio gas company, they disconnected. They first asked for my gas account number. I did not give the number. This call is a scam.

Gas discount. A pre recorded message said they had important info regarding my gas bill & to get it & then press "O" to connect to a representative. I pressed O & caller identified herself as "NANCY" & immediately asked if I had my bill ready. I inquired about who she was & what the company she represents & she told me "Power Choice" but the caller ID said "Gas Discount". She then said that with deregulation they could offer discounts on gas & to get my bill so they could tell me how much I could save. I asked if I had an account with them & she hesitantly said no. I told her I was on the do not call list & I was going to report it. She told me I did not have to threaten & to have "a blessed day." I assured her I was reporting this.

Okay, this is ridiculous, I previously got calls from phone numbers with the last 2 digits different and put up with it. Earlier this week these calls start so I decided to put some time into this to figure out a way to stop them. Here's a quick and easy way that works; call 866-246-7196 for a do not call request service for a small number of companies that call consumers. Give the caller's phone number so they can verify it's on their list, and the receiving phone number to add to the do not call list.
