Helping the handicapped by buying merchandise. Hung up when told number was on do not call registry. Sounds like they are calling from a call center.
Products at Work
Prod at work is caller. Keeps calling a " do not call" phone. It belongs to my elderly mother. They have gotten her money a couple of times. When I answered the last time he hung up after I said Mary was not available and who are you. They are preying on the elderly. She also has Alzheimer's and I think they realize it. Shame on them. I am slowly removing any access my mom has to money.
Caller ID is listed as "Products at Work." Caller identified himself as Jack Wilkerson. When I asked him to put our number on his "Do Not Call" list, he asked what that was. After saying he wasn't a company and cursing, he admitted he did know what "Don Not Call" is, but refused to place my number on the DNC list and then hung up.
When the phone first rang my claller ID said "PRODUCTS IN MOTION" I answered and a man asked for my wife, I said "im sorry she is not here right now whos calling?" the man quickly replied, "JACK...OH......" and then hung up. I dialed *69 and got his phone number and persistently tryed to redial and get connected to someone who could provide me with more answers AND TO STOP HIS REPEATED CALLS! When I got through a man answered and said "HELLO DOCTOR VINCENT TROY YOUNG'S OFFICE" I said ,"sorry I must have the wrong number and hung up. I then redialed five minutes later and the same man answered in the same way "HELLO, DOCTOR TROY VINCENT YOUNG'S OFFICE". I explained how I had retrieved the number and asked if this number mattched the one I had gotten from *69 and he said that the last DIGIT OF THE number was not a 1 but a 2 but I checked my phone's history and I had not misdialed. So then I had my daughter call from a different phone and after several busy tones she got through only to have someone pick up the phone and hang it up immidiately. She called again and got through but then heard what sounded like the dialing of numbers and the same man asked to speek to someone she had not heard of ("may I talk to Mary Ann, this is the Terrell residence?") She was very confused because she had called this man he had not called her. So I concluded that when my daughter called him he was, at the same time, calling Mary ann and his phone system connected them on accident and he thought she was his outgoing call. She said " Im sorry I must have the wrong number and he hung up. So the point of the story is how to stop this person or company from apparently scamming unsuspecting people from being taken of their hard earned money and stopping th repeated phone calls from what looks like a company that is working a scam. Does anybody have any suggestions?
