My account is in good standing and I qualify for a reduced interest rate of 6.9%. Having already talked to my CC comp about reducing my int rate, I listened til finished and then I immediately called the number back. It was a busy signal, which I had expected. I called my credit card company and they assured me that they hadn't hired outside assistance to call their cardholders and confirmed my suspicions that this was a scam. I then called my cell provider to block the call and then filed this complaint. I am on the DNC and having previously worked for a telemarketing company. I last registered this phone number in the past 12-24 months and I know that it is only necessary to register once every 5 years.

They said it is urgent that I call regarding my credit, but this was not my credit card company nor was it a reporting agency, it was just sales call pretending to be urgent/vital.

They would not tell me specifically what card they were calling about but wanted personal information, including the expiration date for my credit cards. I hung up when they started asking for personal information, realizing the call was not from one of my credit card companies.
