Had call today from the 760 area code. Last month from 206 area code. Funny but same person answered the phone for both numbers!!! Hung up on me each time when I told them I was recording the call for my attorney, the local police, and our state attorney general.

Just received phone call from supposedly US Treasury saying we are under investigation for tax fraud. WHAT A SCAM ! Get a real job ! You pay taxes to help support our country and quit scamming hard working Americans.

Call them back and threaten them and they hang up. I asked them why they had a foreign accent and they hung up. Said they were coming to arrest me in 30 minutes so I told them I better get dressed and they hung up.

The United States treasury just called me talking about I have a legal case against me. I almost passed out...what the ???? Who are these people Im trying to relax and forget I have problems and they want to steal my gold!!! LOL That was a good one though....Hmmmm...

Just called saying a legal claim had been files against me and to call their hotline (same number) before I got arrested.

I just received this message.
"You that we have received a legal petition notice concerning a tax fraud against you still before the matter goes to federal claims court house or before you get arrested. Please call us immediately on our hotline division number that is 760-284-3352. Make sure you call us as soon as possible."

Yes, just called us, took call on answering machine, and message was exactly as described in above postings. Our name was not used, but caller identified herself as being from US Treasury re fraud case against us. This is not the way the US Treasury works. I won't be returning their call.

A few minutes ago, a lady caller said that the US Treasure Department wants me to contact them immediately to clear a criminal activity.
I patiently listened the whole story and immediately switched to the IRS.gov website and sent an email to report this phishing call to real government agent.

I paid all my taxes, and if I owed, the IRS would send me forms in the mail, not use some robocall threatening arrest!

we were also called and told we were under investigation by the united states treasury for tax fraud. The caller was a machine and we were instructed to call back or we would be arrested. Our name was not used and we did not call back. We are not in any trouble over taxes or anything else with the state treasury.

Called saying they were the United States Treasury and we were under investigation and wanted us to call a hot line number We aren't under investigation. We haven't been sent any letters. Called back the same number, they answered United States Treasury. I asked why they called my number they immediately hung up.
