got annoying calls from this number quiet afew times. the caller wasnt talking though, neither he/she left a message. Its very annoying that ppl get stupid calls from these telemarketers..

they called me, and it was like an autotuned voice -.-

I have never used the good voice chat thing, never given my number to any hinky sites or anything like that. Have to missed calls back to back on my cell from this number from after 10PM the night before.

Prank calls are annoying. Make it stop!

When using the Google's GMail Voice Chat system, any number you dial out with goes into their phone database and gets sold to advertisers. Within an hour of using the new voice chat system and calling myself, my phone (the recipient of the GMail Voice Chat system), which is brand new and doesn't have a listed number, got my very first spam call. The caller ID on this number says Escondido CA, which is the same caller ID as the gmail voice chat system.

i also got a call from this number fifteen min back from now . no one was speaking from the other side . reading all the comments of this post , i think its some google new feature . i think if google is bringing some such thing into market then it should think about the pros and cons of the matter , else life will be hell with such a thing .

got a call from +17607058888 no one answers when i say hello. when i put the call on hold I get the same call same number

got seven calls from this number....no one was talking....no voice..I tried to call back it said the number is disconnected....

Well, I called myself using the google feature. Guess what number showed up on my phone's screen: +17607058888. It appeared to redial twice when I lost connection to the internet temporarily.
Quite a bug to be fixed, huh!

I got a call from that number today and the person actually spoke.. It went like this..

Me- hello?
person-I can see you
Me- who is this?
person- haha i know who you are but you don't know who i am
me-... *hang up*

Whoever is using gmail's call phone with this number has called my boyfriend like 8 times since last night, claiming to be some girl named nicole who met him on match.com. whoever the person is knows his name and it's really creepy. the person has left voice messages on his phone. today we were out to lunch and he got a call from the number. i answered it, and rather than saying anything i stayed quiet, and so did whoever was on the other line. not until i said hello 30 seconds later did whoever was on the other line respond. i stayed quiet again, and so did the caller. i think whatever is calling is voice-activated and prerecorded. the voice tone never changes the way a real human's would. it's got to be some kind of spam, but thumbs down for google because there is no way to block the number and no way to file a complaint with google about gmail's new call phone feature. has this scenario happened with anyone else? and is there anything we can do to stop the calls?

I have received over 35 calls from 1-760-705-8888 since last night. Very poor quality so can’t understand what is being said. This is rather annoying as it appears that Google has just opened a new door to spammers, crank callers, telemarketers and idiot that just wants to have fun. BTW, no way to file a complaint with Google…grrrrrrrr.

They have tried to call my cell phone 5x! When I answer I just hear a lot of static and dialing. My suggestion is to not anwer a call from that number. Once I stopped answering, the calls stopped. What a pain!

Rings my mobile phone then hangs up @ 0300AM so rude; probly the tobacco and pharmaceutical outfit I bought tobacco online from 3 mos ago; almost daily emails and odd area code calls coming in since
