Received phone call on my cell phone. Canned message saying my MC card was locked. Needless to say I have heard of these type of scams and just hung up. Then did Google search and found other comments here. Highly suspicious it was a scam simply b/c I do not have a Master card, and secondly if it were from my banks security department it would have been a human voice and not a canned message.
Same here, robotic voice tells me debit card is locked. Needless to say, I did not press 1.
They called my personal cell number. I didn't answer because it was not a known number.
I got a call about 10 minutes ago and an unknown female voice told me that my card had been suspended and to press 1 to speak with someone who could reactivate it for me. Thank goodness I've heard so much about this type of fraud that I just hung up. Just to be sure though, I called my bank and they said it was a scam call and not to ever fall for it.
Don't give your card number, it's a scam! Your card is not locked.
