They would call us 4 to 5 times a day, from about 8 in the morning to 10 at night. We tried to call them back, but it didn't work. We eventually blocked them. Every now and then, it pops up saying blocked caller.

They call my parents even though I've never lived at the current residence or given out the number. My parents have disowned me and hate me now. They have bad mouthed me to everyone. All because these criminal scumballs harrass them. Finally, I was able to get the actual number out of my mom through the seething hatred in her voice--and now I post here. Thanks a**holes at the other end of this number. You are also ruining families. F*** You. These f***ers said I owed a few hundred, but would no specify. They will be indicted and go to jail.

I have been receiving calls from Salli Mae, every call is from a different person so when I tell them that the person they are looking (Theresa) does not live here and I do not know her, they say they will take my number out of the computer.
Today I received this call from The "Student Assist" number, again I attempted to explain the above situation but the person (Calli #6847) was rude a kept talking over me without listening to what I was trying to tell her. She kept telling me that this call "May" be monitored, I said fine because I was not using bad language or anything like that, but when I asked what her name was she gave me the first name and a Rep. number, then she simply said "have a nice day" and hung up.
During the call she stated that I had not talked to her befor, sure thats correct because every call I get is from a different person in anyone comes on the line after receiving the automated call.
She did not listen to me at all, so I suspect I will get another call from another person.
I suggest whenever you receive these calls, ask for their name and number, or ask to speak to a supervisor, I also suspect that many of these callers are working from home and even using cell phones.......................

I received a few calls from them recently. I was a bit hesitant as my partner actually works in a call center (not a collection agency) and has a similiar system (ie: please give me the # and verify one piece of security info)...so I knew this was legitimate. However, when starting the phone call they told me that I had a foreberance from 12/08-03/09. I had been in touch with my other student loan companies and they provided me that all student loans were placed back into deferrment as I am a full-time nursing student. I figured Sallie Mae was indeed included. I then told the guy I spoke to, I wanted to speak with Sallie Mae directly to get this squared away as I would more comfortable. As I did that, he kept speaking over me. He was rude, condescending and kept talking over me! I got irate, and persisted to yell at him. He then told me he was marking at a "refusal" to pay my past-due loan, and I would be receiving calls daily. I told him 5 times, I'm calling Sallie Mae to square it away, yet he still told me I was refusing to pay. He then proceeded to hang up on me. I called Sallie Mae, to make sure this information was legitimate (it was) and I have squared it away with them. I'm actually going to my school right now to get my foreberance faxed over and back into deferrment. These people are freaking ridiculous, they're rude, and they're persistent. They are NOT illegitimate, and are a debt collector, so they are able to call you. I have researched them for a few hours today.... Just pick up the phone, call that # back, and let them know that you are going to talk to Sallie Mae, or it's a wrong # (wrong person.) I am absolutely angry at the way they handled the phone call.... It's squared away now... but regardless, these people have no conscience!

No answer, no message, and I am so sick of them calling between six and eight times a day starting from eight am in the morning and going until eleven pm at night. They have their paperwork, proving I am disabled, and they keep rejecting it for not having the right name, when that name correction has been sent and rejected by them, eight times straight from the courts to them. I am currently ignoring the stupid mechanical calls as well as the unlisted and non answer calls. Hopefully they will send me something more useful by mail as this is on my cell phone which I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling.
