Caller ID just displays the # and GA. I've been getting alot of calls from Georgia lately and I keep blocking all of them, but a few days later, a different # from GA calls. Very irritating. I never answer, so don't know what they're calling to promote.
Wanted to know how much credit card balance/debt I had on which cards.
Spam robocall having to do with credit cards
Who would answer a call with a caller ID of MARKETING? Oh, well sure; not every phone has a caller ID displayed. Our Digitone call blocker grabbed the call; I just happened to be sitting nearby. This kind of victimization (described above) can't be stopped at the source; tens of millions of dollars in fines have been levied at these scammers, but there are tens of thousands of them. It is such a lucrative business that the crooks just set up another location and start all over. Get a call blocker, or get one for your grandmother or whatever. Set it up to block everything enter 97#* for the Digitone. Then 'invite' your local area codes. If a person that you want to talk to calls from out of the area and gets blocked they'll call back... you need to pick up the phone if it rings a few seconds after a caller has been blocked; robot phone callers go on to the next number.
These buttholes just called, just numbers displayed on ID. Left no message.
