First I gave the man who called the courtesy of listening to his spiel about donating to some so called law enforcement organization for those fallen in the line of duty.
I tried to tell him nicely with my 9 year old daughter right beside me, that my brother is in law enforcement and donate to only certain organizations.
So he rudely interrupted me and with attitude, Well, we'll just put you on the "Do Not Call List".
As I was replying he hung up on me.
Please people, these people who are calling do NOT represent a fraction of those law enforcement agencies or many of those officers. Donate locally or check with your own local law enforcement.
As to donating, with that type of attitude and rudeness, you will NEVER see a penny from us. My brother and local law enforcement have even said to be wary of those telemarketers who run the spiel of donating to those fallen officers. They see little of that money.
Overall, a good time to teach my daughter about these type of calls and why a lot of these callers have a lack of professionalism and manners.
