The Texas Senior Medicare Patrol has received several complaints about scam calls from 773-787-2355 (Caller ID shows "Fax Global"). The female caller talks about getting a “new” Medicare card, and dupes victims of their Medicare IDs and Social Security numbers. THIS IS A SCAM. MEDICARE WILL NEVER CALL YOU. SOCIAL SECURITY WILL NEVER CALL YOU. Report these scams to the Federal Trade Commission (https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov) , Medicare Office of the Inspector General (https://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/report-fraud/index.asp) and your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org). DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR MEDICARE OR SOCIAL SECURITY IDS. Check your Medicare Summary Notices (MSNs). If you see that Medicare has been billed for something that neither you nor your doctor has ordered, report that information immediately to 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-632-4227), and your state's Senior Medicare Patrol (1-877-808-2468, or https://www.smpresource.org).
