Why do the pinheads at the FTC keep allowing call spoofing? There are few out there actually needing legit use of it except scammers and fraudsters. Hundreds of calls are coming in to my phone under the number: 773-839-**** (the last 4 digits are always varied). The scammers can spoof up to 10,000 variations using that M.O. and just those first 6 digits.
The name shown is invariably: "Illinois Call."
That the FTC keeps doing nothing about call spoofing means the problem gets worse and worse. The 773-839-**** series of numbers has been hijacked by scammers.

"Julie" from "reward redemption center", a phishing scam where they claim you've won a gift card due to visiting one of their affiliate's websites, but need to pay a shipping fee using an existing credit or debit card, it's a scam to phish for credit card numbers, and calls from multiple spoofed numbers.
