Wanted to lower APR on my credit card. I don't use CCs.

Caller tried to get me to send them 481.09 to provide lowering my APR to 6 percent fixed for my credit card.. they also asked if I had any other cards that I wanted to include in the 6 percent.. I knew credit card companies do not ask that info. .called back number thru Google and it says. Do not give Ur acct number to this number under no circumstances or u will regret it..

"Rachel" from card member services (they don't specify which card, big hint that they are scammers) requests that you press "1" to have your interest rate lowered. When you press "1" a CSR makes every attempt in the world to solicit ANY credit card number from you. They hang up when you mention that you are on the National "Do Not Call" registry. It is obvious that this is an attempt to gather credit card info so that they can clean out your credit limit with some trumped up "service" charge. If they call you, file a complaint with the FBI at their website so that the FBI can gather data. Be sure to include the "Rachel" telephone number, the date and time and your phone number and provider. The FTC may be interested also.
