i was also called same thing amount was 7k i dont know how they get the info they have but i also refused to believe when the man demanded money in advance doesnt sount right to me

Caller stated I won a grant. She had an Indian accent and there was a delay on the line (much like an overseas call). She wanted my last name and personal information and said if i provided it, she would give me the number to call to arrange payment. I did not give her any information. The name of the company she used was US FEDERAL LOAN DEPT. If she was in fact w/ that company I would expect they should have my personal information if I had won something. I did not get the number from her that I should call to claim.

the gentleman on the other end stated I won $5000 grant from the government. shady as it seems to be, caller had an indian accent and demanded to western union him advance fee for it.
