Yes today. They called my land line. Said They were a collection agency and I had defaulted on a Money Mart pay day loan which is wrong. They wanted me to verify who I was by giving them all kinds of details about myself. I said I do not know who you are and they gave me a different number to call which was CVB collection agency. I called that # and the callers # and got the same recording. I hung up.

calls then I hear a machine pick up then a Hello then more clicks and static so I hang up, repeated calls to cell phone, never leaves a msg on my answering service. It says its from Vancouver BC when I look up the area code.

I don't owe anybody money so for somebody to be calling me and asking shady questions.. I don't believe these people. Call me one more time, and I'll be calling the police.

I have been receiving calls multiple times a day. The issue has been settled 5 years ago.

CBV is a debt collection agency.  They perform debt collection services for many different companies, including TELUS.

In view of their office being located in the business-centre of Vancouver, they pay very high rent, therefore do not concern yourself with their threats to take you to court, as they do not sue anyone, they can't afford the upfront court costs, and they certainly can not afford to lose their court-case should the Judge side with the defendant.
Also if you are not employed, then you are not suable, but you do not have to tell them that.  In fact you do not have to tell them anything, and you do not have to call them back if you choose not to.  Also there is nothing they can or will do if you put the telephone down on them.
If they are serious about suing you, they would do so.

They say they are creditors. They will call your number more then twice a day and even into the late hours of the night. I have talked to a Mark,and a I think her name was Karen but I couldn't hear it well beacuse she didn't speak english well. They even threaten me by taking any money coming into my household on an account I had cancelled more then 6 years ago with fucking telus. I have told them I'm getting a lawyer involved with a harassment charge against this Company CVB Collections LTD.
