received call yesterday saying I had won 100,000 air miles. Press one to accept. I hung up. Air miles does not have my cell number!!!

Obvious forged caller id. I got it and the message was I won 100K air miles. Couldn't get anything out of the person (slight Indian accent too). I wonder what it would take for the telcos to verify the caller id information at the CO level before allowing the call to go out. I did the DNCL complaint, but, without a real telephone number I have a better chance of winning the lottery that these scum being caught.

Said I won Airmiles, then man with East Indian accent said something about promotion for Cancun. A woman had asked if I had credit cards. Obviously a scam.

I also 'won' some reward miles. I'm not an Air Miles customer and I bet Air Miles would not like these guys pretending to represent Air Miles.
