I received a call from a person stating his name is Andrew Johnson with Anderson Law Firm. He said there is a legal claim against me and my social security number was under investigation. That I should have my attorney of record contact his office. This was an urgent time sensitive legal matter. That I have an unpaid loan with Cash Advance America. I informed this caller that I did not have an unpaid loan with Cash Advance America. I also informed the caller that I work with a county sheriff's office and he should send me all of the information he has so that this matter can be handled appropriately. He hung up the minute I told him that.

caller threatened me, said he [indian accent] has my social security number, and
i m being investigated. if i don t answer phone call, the sheriff will be at my door.

don t know if its from a real collection agency or not. scam ??? not the first call

David Bentley called, left threatening message today. Leaves messages at my work and home every few days. Threatens arrest, threatens to defame my character to my employer, try to get me fired, threatens legal stuff. This is a debt collection payday loan scam. He has a heavy India type accent, sounds like he's calling from a call center type place, Wants me to go and get a Green Dot Prepaid money card and send him cash from a payday loan I supposedly took out years ago. He obviously has some stolen information from somewhere as he has my home and work phone, my birth date, and my social security number. Only answered once, he refused to send me any documentation for a debt, gave me a fake court case #, said he was from Anderson Law, usually just says he's from 'the law office' when he leaves messages. Just wants money anonymously and now. At my wits end as he's affecting my employment and wont stop harassing me at work, super rude, I have ignored all calls as best I can. When is this country going to get serious about doing something about these Nigeria and India scammers, there stealing and extorting millions and millions every year.

Caller with Indian voice stated he was with law firm and investigating my social he threatened me with the sheriff coming to my doorstep. No answer on return call to 786-375-9110

I received a call on 9/6/13 at 9:42am, CDT, from someone with an Indian accent identifying them self as "Microsoft Technical Support," stating that they "had received several error reports from my computer on their monitoring software indicating that my computer was about to crash, and he wanted me to go to my computer so that he could guide me through a "fix."

I asked for his number, so that I could call back to verify the source of the call. He repeated the urgency of the matter, but refused to give me his number. I asked for it again, and he hung up.

I checked my caller ID and found the number was 786-375-9110. I called this number and the same person with an Indian accent answered, as being "Microsoft Technical Support."

I entered the number into a Google Search and found numerous sites and links of complaints and reports of phone abuse, including threats.
